Al-Masjid al-Ḥarām
I watched a documentary about Makkah, and Al-Masjid al-Haram, and the Hajj last week. So interesting and amazing.

My religion class is ridiculous. Today my teacher says to some of my friends and I, “WHY DON’T YOU JUST JOIN THE TALIBAN? YOU’RE ALL TERRORISTS. I’M SERIOUS” and just continued ranting. Because we whispered two words during the national anthem. On the first day of this semester, my religion teacher said to the class, “I love these new classrooms. The ceilings are the perfect height for hanging people.” Pardon? He’s said that the majority of Muslims are into terrorism, and basically that if a person isn’t a Christian, he or she is going to hell. He says that we’re all basically bad people since none of us are super-religious. We visited a mosque for a field trip, and the second we got on the bus after visiting the mosque, he says ”I hope those people know that the picture of the mosque that was on the slide show, used to be a Christian church that they STOLE from us.” THEY stole from US. What? What does that even mean? A group of Muslims, a long, long, long time ago, took over Turkey from Christian control. That group changed a church into a mosque. Big deal. It was forever ago. I really fail to see how that should impact my view of Muslim people. There should be no THEY and US. There should be WE. He could have said “Here’s a fun fact: Did you know that the mosque that was shown used to be a Christian church, when Turkey was a Christian country?” Good, cool, great, fine. Saying Hindus are “weird” or “strange” because they believe in more than one god. But some Hindus believe in one god, and that that one god has many different forms. Even if they believe in 5000000 gods, why does it matter? Are they good people? Yes? Good, great. I just do not understand why a WORLD RELIGIONS TEACHER, is ripping apart WORLD RELIGIONS, just because it is not his religion.
Had to have a rant.

Islam, you are lovely.
It bothers me when people preach at each other and push their beliefs on one another. If you’re very religious, great. If you’re kind of religious, great. If you’re atheist, great. Have your opinions, and share them respectfully. Don’t try to tear other people down for not believing the same thing as you. Don’t try to twist others beliefs to make them second guess themselves. Don’t be getting all righteous on other people and telling them they’re wrong. Live how you want to, and let others do the same.
